A number of forums have been held.

The first was in Charlottetown, PEI on July 28-29, 2006. The theme was “Conservation of Forest Genetic Resources: Challenges, Issues, and Solutions”. It was here that the concept of CONFORGEN was presented and consensus achieved to move forward with developing a program.

The second Forum was held in Quebec, QC on August 29, 2008. The theme was: “Applied Forest Genetic Conservation”.
